They started doing this in Shadowbringers. It's mostly just the comic relief choice though, like saying Kupo to Thancred or getting mean looks from Y'shtola.
Even after Yoshi-P's statement we don't really know what changes were on purpose. The Moonkeeper fangs could be related to the "mouth scaling" he mentioned. Or the mysterious "special data processes"...
This is a pretty big logical leap. The call for improved graphics is mainly because you can see individual pixels in the hairstyles and ground textures without trying very hard. (And because some...
I've always used the 6 month sub. I think it's slightly discounted compared to month-to-month. If the 1 year sub were even further discounted it would be a no brainer. But even if it were the same...
Since there's already a lot of feedback, you can probably find a post mentioning Au Ra and translate it to see if they talk about scales, and find what word they use.
I did that and got...
Does that mean Au Ra puffy lips? Lalafell tiny teeth? Moonkeeper fangs? Those all seem like they'd have somewhat different causes so I don't know if they'd all be the same bullet point about "an"...
It's going to be interesting to see the differences. "Special data processes" is pretty vague and could be literally anything, I assume it includes stuff being implemented on the wrong...
Hahaha oh wow

that's a shame the avatars were one of the better things about that game
I wonder if the new thick eyelashes are a bug. The femhroths actually have the thicker eyelashes as a face feature option, maybe they somehow got accidentally applied to other races?
That time Thancred slipped and fell in mashed potatoes
This sloppy looking decal that looks like a pixelated puffy sticker
When are they going to add grapes as a playable race?
Here's a post from me 10 years ago:
In case you're wondering, they didn't respond. Feel discouraged yet?

Reddit isn't a good place for discussions, usually. Most people use downvotes to disagree which stifles any arguments, so the majority of subreddits just end up being a bunch of people agreeing with...

It sounds like this is the result of modifying the benchmark to add currently unsupported hair or something? That isn't important at all.
In ARR they homogenized their gear design process for all races and just let tails clip. Some robes in 1.0 had a cutout for the tail and some armor sets gave you tail armor.
New sculpts don't have to look different, though. My character's mouth looks mostly the same. Other's have entirely different lip shapes, and differently shaped lipstick too.
That was what I thought when I heard someone say that Korean players liked the Au Ra pouty lips.
I still think it's possible that some or most of the major differences were unintentional mistakes...
I think the NA staff have absolutely noticed, it's all the forums are at this point. We have like 200 threads about it already.
It has always looked fine when zoomed out dodging orange puddles. The problem is there's hours and hours of cutscenes and when they do close ups the pixels get more obvious, sometimes to the point of...
Extremely yes.
Possibly the most requested thing since at least Stormblood if not longer.
It says Seeker in the title, but those are Moonies.
I think my markings were largely unaffected by the update.

While I like the new eyes, I don't think you can say it is an improvement solely because it is more technically impressive. The purpose of the graphics in this game is not simply to recreate reality...
