Yeah, but it's arguable when you work in WAR's utility too. I think it ends up working like this for Tanks.

Yeah, but discounting STR down (which is only 50/50 anyways), most of the time we get to use only one of our enfeebles in spans of 3-6 months for only one occurrence. It's hard to argue PLD's...
Honestly, re-evaluating PLD's abilities it's actually quite a mitigation beast... at least on paper. Blind, Pacification, Stun, and Silence perhaps the strongest combination of mitigation...
@Op
It's superficial most of the time, anything significant often has ranged attacks and can run just as or faster than you outside of Sprinting. Anything avoidable or charged you would normally...
Not much you can really do besides starting with with FoF > Shield Lob/Flash > Circle > Spirits > RoH combo/Flash spam, throwing in a Shield Swipe whenever it procs.
PLD just doesn't have any...
I've been wanting this back for a while now, even with a block stipulation it would be an appropriate AoE attack unique to PLD at that.
That's pretty much my mindset Februs. Parry is such an underwhelming stat the thought of it on any piece of gear is cringeworthy. If they do a STR to VIT changeover in 3.2 like many of us are hoping...
The hell are you on about, the same logic could be used against VIT puritans.
It's not even that man, it's the opportunities we're actually given to utilize our skills (and subsequently effects). Alot of what you just mentioned comes out once every major patch, and that's not...
Ideally, I think it would work best based off the block strength that comes on each shield, as it naturally goes up with gear as the cap. However, utilizing the difference in ilv between your shield...
Frankly, it should be more dependent on the ilv of the mob we're facing. The closer you're shields ilv is to the mobs your facing should have a direct effect on the reduction benefits the shield...
I think people are still hung on the notion that Shields still offer extensive mitigation strength, but haven't come to realize how hard it got nerfed when 3.0 hit. But your right, PLD's mitigation...
Quite frankly when the entirety of enmity mechanics is based purely on attack power and damage, and PLD's not only have the lowest damage of any class even when optimized for DPS, but the lowest hate...
They really won't work any harder, the effective healing over time does not change with a bigger or smaller HP pool, it only changes the frequency of which healers have to go back and fourth between...
That's because jobs have a much wider range of abilities that PLD can counter than most enemies you encounter in any raid. Most jobs have at least one form of stun and bind/heavy/slow that they will...
So, basically instead of homogenizing PLD by giving them similar abilities like WAR's Damage Down/Slash Up effect where it would just overlap unstackable abilities other classes already have, turn...
On the contrary, it might just be perfect. Sword Oath's effect currently doesn't do anything for Weaponskills or Spells, it just works like a secondary effect similar to En-spells from FFXI...
Considering PLD's limited ability to really stance dance and lack of raid wide utility, perhaps expanding the Oaths to have an additional aura like effect that boost's the party would bring something...
I think the only time I've ever seen tempered will as useful, is for it's anti-knockback ability more than it's anti-heavy ability. Even then it's exceedingly situational as Leviathan and A3 N/S are...
I agree, but DPS more of a consequence of the games mechanics relying on DPS (and attack power for Flash) for threat generation. Granted any subtle improvement to hate management outside of just...
Frankly, I don't see why they just don't come out with a hybrid accessory if they tend to go a 50/50 route.
Still, if SE does go to VIT as a primary stat for tanks, considering their love for the...
Yeah, I had admittedly misread it on my initial readthrough.
Truth be told, I think the LB change was meant to help out DPS options more than tanks, but despite the prolonged suffering PLD's and possibly DRK's will have to endure it might make SE see the see...
Honestly, even DRK might not be much of an option before terribly long with the changes they're making to the Limit Breaks, which will allow two of the same job without penalty.
Was pretty much required for the MirrorKnights back in T5, too bad we don't have situations where chain stunning is required anymore.
