I witnessed a few drunk players pull some s**t out their ass when the run was almost a wipe.
Playing FFXI, the guy that always tanked endgame was always drunk, and he played better....
I remember running Tam Tara HM with 2 really drunk people who were playing together (I was healer, my friend was tank in that run) their dps was awful and they failed almost all fight mechanics, we kept wiping on the last boss because they kept forgetting about the adds, it was lame as hell.
Honestly, I still play pretty well after a few drinks, I wouldn't play if I was stupidly wasted of course, but playing while buzzed with a few friends is a pretty fun experience (drunkenly grinding coil raids was pretty fun)
Positive thing about having drunks 3-5 people on a DF pug group is... that you can practice and KO and no one rages, cause they know they are drunk xD
I did a coil run with 3 fresh and 4 drunks, we cleared after few wipes but I was happy that I could help out my fresh boys and gals. Plus I got all drunked commendations, since I was the one who knows the fight and still in his senses xD
drunk ppl don't know what are they doing. so it's pointless to tell them to do/not do whatever. when they drunk they'll do/not do it anyway.
I've had several drunk runs where I actually saved the day. :D For example in Thornmarch (HM) where I in one run had to revive 6+ people because they kept getting hit by the AoE.
I've even done a Trial roulette last Saturday, which I don't even remember, but we cleared, and I didn't get kicked, since I had the rewards, so yeah...
Don't put all drunk people into one bag!
I have a friend who is an amazing healer when she gets drunk. (it gets rid of her nervousness).
That said I've been in a run with a drunk and someone who was high and stopped in the middle of a fight to "roll a blunt"
How about, if you don't want to run the risk of dutying with drunk people, why don't YOU make a party finder specifically for sober people? If you're leaving it until 24 hours before the reset, it's in your best interest to make a pre made party, upping your chances of getting a clear..
Why are people so surprised by this? I seen people admit they were high as @$&*! when playing.
