Am i the only one who wants a throwdown with the dawn goddess as the uber boss at level 99?

Thats one of the better Ideas on here. I mean shes in every part of the game let we never gotten to see her outside of the hall of the gods. They could make use of exsiting areas and npcs with a quest line.
If this happens, we should get Prishe as a summonable NPC-buddy as a reward for winning.
But, I'd prefer not to ever have to fight Altana, since she seems to have everyone's best interests at heart.

Though I pay no obeiscence to any "Goddess", I'm dead tired of the "Religion is evil!" archtype in Japanese fiction. Besides, it only applies if the deity is male-if a Goddess is involved, she'll invariably be good.

Clearly you've never played Breath of Fire 3!
I'm glad Altana hasn't made any direct appearances, really. Usually the mystique of a powerful entity is removed as soon as you give them any sort of physical form. If she ever appears, I'd like it to be in a Prince of Egypt style or something, where you just hear a voice.
Yeah I'd say no to Altana just do to the fact that your character is 1/2 of the Wings of the Goddess. (Lillisette being the other half). You'd lose access to the past anyway, since that feather you have is one of Altana's.
I think this is a wonderful Idea.
Milord Promathia has always wanted that Altana to fall. So he can reign supreme as he does in the Dimensions of Abyssea. You know until ... we came a long.
I'd prefer Chaos from FF1/Dissidia.
That guy is just screaming to be added to the Walk of Echoes revamp
