Had to do bastion again the other day and had forgotten how broken it is. It's another one of those self defeating events the developers seem to be so fond of (see campaign, will never take control of the north again). At best, the battles last 30 seconds now, on average they last 15 seconds, and can be as short as 5, the only way to extend them is to do silly repeatable quests that nobody cares about. Since no one does the quests, the battles will never be long enough to matter and therefore no one will do them except out of necessity. The fix for this is simple, make the martellos regen significantly between fights and increase the mobs hp a bit so they don't die faster than you can target them. Also, not sure how it works now but a nice added effect would be the preservation of your exp chain if you kill these mobs. More exp mobs close to the pulse martellos would be nice as well (like misereaux). This would allow you to run an exp party close to the bastion prefect and get periodic spike exp and cruor every time a battle pops up without breaking your chain.
