Over 300 tp + Kenkonken Bug

When using the ability 'Tactical Switch' along side Emprean Armor, Pups can reach in excess of 300tp (often 360TP). While this returns to 300 tp the moment tp is gained it is posible to use Stringing Pummel before any TP is lost.
Doing Stringing Pummel with Kenkonken with over 300tp will yield Level 2 aftermath with a varied amount of Attack bonus.

Don't u think that was intended/known. Most people don't save 300 tp to begin w/ just to ws in the first place seeing stringing pummels dmg is rather absurd in abyssea w/ just 100 tp i often break 5-6k at 100 tp even w/o my aftermath effects... You must be a mnk or sam whining about PUP doing something u cant lol.

It's the first day, can you keep the personal attacks down for at least like 24hrs? If he is commenting on a PUP mechanic then let's assume he's experienced it himself. This is an area for bugs to be posted, not e-peen.

    Hello Drac!

We moved the thread from In-Game Bugs over to the Puppetmaster discussion since it is a great strategy! Many players might not know of that current combo, so we appreciate you posting it to us! Hopefully we'll see many more proud Puppetmasters using that technique to impress everyone else in the party. Thanks!

Interesting way of saying "this isn't a bug, we did it on purpose!" lmao

I think a couple of you are completely missing the point Drac is making. He is saying that the mythic weapon Kenkonken is bugged when WSing above 300% TP from the Tactical Switch ability. Kenkonken gives a varied aftermath effect after WSing with String Pummel depending on the amount of TP you WS at. Level 1 from 100-199% TP, level 2 from 200-299% TP, and level 3 when at 300% TP. Drac is saying that when WSing with the mythic weapon with more than 300% TP from Tactical Switch, it instead gives a level 2 aftermath effect instead of the level 3 aftermath effect. So when WSing above 300% TP it is giving a lower level aftermath effect then it should.

It seems that when the mythic weapons were design, the level 3 aftermath effect would only happen when using TP at 300%, while the level 2 aftermath effect would happen anytime TP is above 200% but not at 300%. Which wouldn't be a problem when TP caps at 300% but Tactical Switch ignores this rule. TP is reset to 300% when anymore of it is gained however, and when WSing with more than 300% the WS TP modifier is still capped at 300% so it doesn't add anymore damage. Yet it prevents the level 3 aftermath effect from occurring.

This isn't specific to kenkonken, its true of empyrean weapons as well. Although the second you hit/get hit it resets to 300. This has been known about and posted for a few months now on ZAM.

eh, doesn't it only take a sec though to let it reset to 300? if you want the "occassionally attacks twice" aftermath you could just wait 1 extra second to WS

I agree with Dohati. Why not just wait, and punch the mob then WS? It's not like WSing over 300% will yield any more damage. Haha
