    So I noticed this little gem in the update notes

    The following job traits and attributes will see their maximum level of effectiveness adjusted by equipment, magic, and/or job abilities.../ Fast Cast /...
    Does this mean what I think it means O.o

    also...

    The effects of the following job abilities have been adjusted:.../ Saboteur /...

    All job trait updates will have a positive adjustment. So that only means Fast Cast can now go past 50%.

    EDIT: No idea what they're going to do for Saboteur though.

    Isn't Sab's effectiveness diminished somewhat on NMs? Or maybe I'm just thinking of the Emp armor buff to it.

    Frankly, I'd much prefer the JA being changed to last 1 minute with any debuff you cast being boosted instead of one-shot every 5 minutes. This could help in case of resists and overall bolster RDM's position as an enfeebler.

    Fast cast might be interesting. As is, we hit 50% with the trait and AF/Relic pieces. Arts bonus could maybe take us to 60%. 2% each from Locq, Emp earring, and Augur feet. Another 2-20% from COR roll, I guess making 86% possible if there's no cap or other interaction flubs. If this doesn't wind up breaking the 50% cap on recasts, though, it won't quite be perma-chainspell.

    Overall, I'm more excited about the body with Enhancing skill on it to finally replace the Glamor Jupon. :x

    Only thing I'd be worried about on the Sagasinger is how it'd play with enspells. If it could never trigger with one up, I'd otherwise put it somewhere around a STR shamshir. The HP/MP does make it a nice Convert piece, assuming people still care about a set like that these days.

    The dagger is potentially sexy. Would be interesting to see it mathed as an Almace off-hand compared to DA% sword, then I guess things like Knife/Joyeuse or Twilight/Knife with Evisc spam.

    Dunno about the Knife, still fails in comparison to twilight but it is a step up from the older daggers rdm can use. Could be useful for dual wielding daggers however.

    If you all haven't already noticed in-game, yes, the Fast Cast cap was raised. I do not know the upper limit.

    I ran a quick test the night of the update since I didn't have time to do much of anything else.

    RDM90 + AF1 Chapeau + AF2 Body + Loquac. Earring. I tested the recast on Reraise. I wore my normal idle gear in addition to the aforementioned gear, which included no haste, as to ensure any additional recast reduction came solely from additional Fast Cast.

    50% Fast Cast = Reraise recast of 45 seconds.
    53% Fast Cast = Reraise recast of 44 seconds.
