for a verethragna MNK, which of the 3 combos will max out your DOT while sacrificing as little as possible in Smite DMG?

I've found Smite to be very impressive when using Atmas that focus on str/da/ta/atk.

With VV/RR/Dark harvester I can spike 7ks with 13% tp return.
Most I've seen with RR/GH/Apoc is a 6.2k, with a 16% tp return.

and what say you to MNKs who smite in faith torque/Tantra+2 gloves and Thunder belt instead of Heafoc/Thunder Gorget/Beir+1 or black belt?
Hmok, a really old FFXI veteran MNK swears by using + skill, and he pulls some pretty nasty Smites. Highest I've heard is a 10k vs an Ironclad. For what its worth, the source is trustworthy to me at least.
