Is it too late?

When I left, the cap was only 75. Now everyone is 90+, is it too late to return. I went to play FF14 but that didn't turn out good at all. I want to return to FF11 but I don't know if it even possible anymore. Any suggestion?

It definitely isn't. The pace of the game picked up a lot. You can level up to 90 in one day and start getting gear immediately, if you do it right. What took years to accomplish before, now can be done in weeks. I don't know about your server/linkshell, but in mine many people have what they need already, and like to help others out. So it's definitely not too late to come back.

No, it's not too late. My linkshell just had play who hadn't played since 2006 came back to the game(and of course being subjected to all the joke like "omg, get out of 2005 already!"), he's doing well to catch up. It can take some time, but it is not impossible.

Not too late, even for people who are lower then 75. After doing the prerequisites for abyssea, you could get to 90 very quickly. Getting acquainted with the system, doing a few quests first couldn't hurt though. (particularly ones that help you obtain more time stones)

Takes about 3-4 hrs to go from 75-90 thats including merits for Limit breaks

Agreed, I've been taking my time doing missions and quests, and started in January but have a level 63 thf, 47 blm, and 40 smn, and a few others above 30. It actually feels like you can level at a pace not too far off from the single player FF games.

Obviously you have most likely figured this out by now, but look for the package on May 16th rather than the 6th. Only a couple more days! I like you are waiting for it and have been counting down the days since I first read about it.
