Abyssea: Status Enhancements and Status-Enhancing Spells/Abilities

I've looked up information about this issue in anywhere I could find it, such as the in-game bugs section and several other places...but when receiving Status Enhancements from Cruor Prospectors, the effects of these spells prevent status bonuses from increasing once the Status Enhancements have been applied:

    Dark Magic: Drain II, Absorb-STR, Absorb-DEX, Absorb-VIT, Absorb-AGI, Absorb-INT, Absorb-MND, Absorb-CHR.

Blood Pact: Ward: Glittering Ruby, Ecliptic Growl

For example- upon casting Drain II, any extra HP gained after using Drain 2 will not increase your Maximum HP any further while you have an HP Enhancement brought from the Cruor Prospector. Furthermore, casting a spell like Absorb-MND after receiving MND Enhancements will not add to your total MND.

Is there a specific reason for not having dealt with this sooner? Something that prevents these types of spells and abilities from stacking on with these Cruor Enhancements? Understandably, there are caps to 95% of stats that determine many mechanics of the game, in response to those who may argue this, but it raises an eyebrow when spells like Gain-AGI or Boost-AGI stack.
