    Is the agreement really needed here?



    Not 100% sure but i'm pretty sure when I created/re sub to the game that I already had to agree to something before I could progress into making account.

    So my question is... is this really needed for a 2nd and continuous times? XIV doesn't have this extra login screen. Could you remove it.

    It's for redundancy in case you violate it and you legally try to bring them to court after they take action against their rules, or them bringing you to court for violating their rules. They can always point to the splash screen saying you agreed to their policies every time you log on. Other than that, not really.

    The game doesn't connect to the lobby server until after clicking through that prompt. If you sit on that prompt for too long the game will fail to connect and kick you back to playonline.
