The handle "name" is already linked to 8 content IDs.
Display Handle lsit ?

NO
It keeps saying the same thing......

YES
It go the the handle menu .....
I unlinked some IDs.....
But nothing is saved.
It keeps the 8 IDs linked.

Only solution is to create another one.
Each time the free login campaign is available, i have the same problem.
Anyone know a way to solve this ?

Stop not paying your sub solves the problem pretty easily. or stop coming back when you quit.

I'm playing since april after 10 years. I came back with the return campaig with free time for a few days. Since then i'm playing and paying my sub each mounth.
I had many characters, most of them were mules. I deleted most of them and now i have only 2 characters. So i still don't get why 8 ids are linked.
I create a new one so i hope it will fix it forever.

You still have the empty slots activated during the campaign to create new characters and play with if you'd like. Others would have to have paid for additional slots at some point for them to be reactivated like this.

This happens on an POL account with more than 8 FFXI characters. For some reason, playonline is limited to 8 FFXI characters per POL Content ID. If you have 9-16 characters linked and your monthly payment gets interrupted (can happen for a number of reasons), you'll see the message you described. It causes the characters 9-16 to become unlinked from your second POL content ID.

To get rid of it, you can switch to the other content ID with the other 9-16 characters linked, OR ....re-link the FFXI characters which became unlinked when the payment process was interrupted.

It's annoying, but an easy fix.
