    Character stuck in downloading phase while warping to new area

    Platform: Windows 7
    ISP: Moviestar
    Type of Internet Connection: 192.168.1.3 AES - CCMP WiFi
    Internet Connection Speed: 8Mbits/Sec
    Date & Time: 16/Apr/2018 21:00
    Frequency: Happened one time, cannot get character out of this black screen
    Character Name: Blackada
    Race: Hume
    World: Lakshmi
    Main Job: WAR
    Support Job: DNC
    Area and Coordinates: Adoulin to Kazham warp
    Party or Solo: Solo
    NPC Name: none
    Monster Name: None
    Steps:
    1. Selected warp to Kazham from crystal at East Adoulin Moghouse
    2. Screen goes to "***Downloading data***" and after some minutes gives
    Error code: FFXI 3001
    3. Multiple retries, reboots etc give the same problem.
    4. Mules on the account are okay.

    Update: I tried zoning a mule on same account from Bastok Markets to S. Gustaberg with identical result. The mule is now stuck in ***Downloading data***

    Update2: Blackada finally arrived in Kazham after about 20 attempts, Mule is still stuck. I'm scared to change area now!

    Update 5: I am inclined to think this is an ISP problem. About 2 days ago Playonline started failing to load at different stages with error POL-0011 network busy or no response from server. Hopefully when these errors stop then the black screens will stop.

    If possible, have someone you trust and know log in your character on their internet/computer, and see if they receive same problems.
    If so, then as long as it is not same ISP, you'll know it is on SE's side not yours.
    If they don't encounter problems at all, then you'll know it is you.

    It happems to me sometimes, I get stuck on the Downloading Data screen, and everytime it happens my VPN client shows some packets loss. Its usually an ISP issue tho still worth a try having someone trying to log on your character from a different ISP or trying to log in through your phone's network using tethering.

    Update 6.

    Today everything is okay. No errors logging into POL. No errors in FFXI and no stuck in "downloading".

    Last night was impossible to get though POL, today perfect.

    It looks like it was an ISP problem. Thanks for all the advice guys
