Steps:
  • Open the "Final Fantasy XI Config" utility and click on "Gamepad Settings". Attempt to set any buttons and use any configurations and note the failure of the "Test Configuration" screen to pick up any input to the controller.
  • I've attempted this with the PS4 controller (with and without input mapping to X360 controller), with generic DirectInput and XInput controllers, and with an Xbox One controller.
  • The only part of the test that works is the vibration. No input is recognized from any controller.
  • This is a recent issue and never happened before. Perhaps it was caused by an update to Windows 10.
  • The controller still works in PlayOnline Viewer with the gamepad enabled setting set to on. Once FFXI boots, it ceases though.
