The controller works perfectly in Windows 7.
Why can't it work the same way in Windows Vista? Aren't them almost the same thing?

Did you download the Software, I think you needed to for Vista.

Yes the Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories is installed. And updated. Disc comes with 1.1 and 1.2 is available for download.
I've created a topic some months ago here detailing everything. I've even tryed to use the DLL of Windows 7 on Vista, but Vista blocks it. Why are the topics here deleted anyway? I'm not playing this game properly since it stopped working on Xbox.
The controller works as intended for everything but Final Fantasy XI on Vista.
The triggers can be read by the game. This is not an excuse. There's one preset that sets actions to the triggers. Camera movement IIRC. Also there's no vibration in Vista. Xinput selected and everything flagged just like Windows 7 setup utility, but they don't work.
