Steps:

1. Several months ago to help players and non bst pets compete the damage multiplier caps based on att/def ratios were increased a bit. Namely for non crits 1hd went from 2.625 to 3.625. 2hd from 2.625 to 4.125. That's 40% increase for 1hd and 57% increase for 2hd and while exact amounts weren't known for pet melee it went up considerably and I'd like to say possibly even more.

2. However ranged from 3 to 3.25 for archery 3.5 for marksmanship. A 8-16% increase. Not only is it much lower than all the rest this would be the first time ranged was worse than melee in this regard since the game which leads me to believe this was a bug.

3. A couple months ago there were some reports that the Sharpshot frame for puppetmaster barely had a damage increase to it's ranged. Considering they ended up modeling them similar to players it goes to reason it's for the same reasons and given that they ended up greatly boosting ranged auto damage (ended up being exactly 60% increase to upper cap) it seems like that it is already accepted that ranged pdif was indeed bugged... but we completely forgot about player ranged damage. Which was already doing the worst before the update but now don't think anyone uses a physical ranged ws
