cannot get in to asura from today 20/9/16

I'm unable to login as well to Bahamut server. Sometimes I make it past the Play button through PlayOnline Viewer but every single time I'm unable to get past "Setting Active Content" and then the game tanks with a POL. I never make it to Select Character. I'm central time and Charter is my ISP. Does anyone know the exact locations where the Japanese servers are for FFXI?

Now it's not even getting me past the title screen. Says it cannot connect to the Lobby Server and will not show me my character list.

I mean, I've not had any issues all month otherwise and taking a break for a day isn't too much of a bother, but if I'm paying and this is going to continue into tomorrow....

Has anyone seen SE acknowledge server issues at all yet?

Ah, I see the reason for the server issues now. {Edit}

Apparently there's a typhoon issue over in Japan at the moment. Hopefully if there is any extended downtime, SE will comp us a few extra days. Safe wishes to everyone adversely affected by all that.

The probable cause for issue is most likely rooted in the fact that too many BLU spells are being cast at once putting servere strain on our servers.

Now that I have gotten in "Shiva" my Macro sets are replaced with what seem like what I had a year ago.

I can log on, but all my macros have been deleted, at least I made a backup two months ago

There was a high category typhoon in Japan yesterday.. Probably explains it..

Whenever I lose my macros, my first thought is there must be a typhoon around somewhere.
