caliber ring

Did a period of increased experience just end or is caliber doing something different than I thought.

I was surprised that using a caliber ring I would get around 10,000 exp for each engagement. This went well beyond 30,000 exp before the charge expired.

Now, since yesterday, I get around 3000 exp, which may or may not be what I would be getting without the ring.

TO be clear, first no dedication effect is present, I am in a place where dedication works, then I activate the ring, see that I have dedication effect and then the first engagement results in about 3000 exp.

So, is there some limit to the number of caliber rings you can tear through? Or, was there a boost to exp that ended around now, or is there some other explanation?

To be clear again, yes I know the ring has a limit, yes I am using the ring when it is active etc. etc.
