    Is there an exp penalty for playing with others?

    I want to play with my partner but I noticed it is actually giving us less exp then just using trusts and going solo.

    Maybe I'm missing something though, still kind of new.

    Practically most, if not all, areas enforces an exp penalty when teaming up w/ 2 or more players when experiencing jobs.

    I would suggest trying harder mobs when teaming up w/ another person.

    Another tip is to do Fields of Valor/Grounds of Valor objectives and Records of Eminence objectives for more experience points.

    There is indeed a penalty to EXP when in a party of people- It's been around since the game began, because a group of players can kill stronger enemies and the intent was to encourage players to do so vs killing weak enemies faster. Even with trust, a group of 6 reasonably able players can well outperform the party of trust NPCs, but the EXP penalty imposed wasn't designed with people being able to solo that effectively in mind.
