And as it turns out, the HQs have different mezzotints from the NQs, so its even more mysterious gambling.
How much higher? We dont know. It varies from +10 higher to +3 higher.
This is part of the issue with the set.
At the very least SE needs to inform us on the set bonuses.
What the on earth does the rao set bonus "Augments martial arts" even mean? Why would we waste millions and millions of gil to see if that bonus is good or not, and then maybe find out either A: it sucks or B: it does something that we cant detect, like subtle blow or something, so great all the time and money is wasted.

To my knowledge there isn't anything in this game undetectable. Go to Brenner and do tests. If you don't want to spend millions of gil to determine if a bonus is good or not, that's on you. Other people will. SE shouldn't have to spell everything out for us when we are quite capable of determining things ourselves.
BG has most of the augments listed now.
Unless we're looking at different pages, BGwiki only has... 2 mezzotints listed for the HQ sets out of the 40+.
Its gonna take a long long long time for us to get all of them, as every single HQ item will need to be crafted, uncursed, and capped, then recorded down.
I'd like to share information regarding the upgraded abjuration gear.
Each set of new abjuration gear has an equipment set bonus effect. The effect will take place when equipping 2 or more pieces of the same set of gear, and can be maximized by equipping the full set. Please use the following as reference when selecting your gear.
*Combination effects will only take effect with HQ gear.
