    Finding Monstrosity

We all know monstrosity has failed. The system is fun, but noone's really interested. Luckily, the worst problem is also the easiest to fix: Change the belligerency zones.

The current belligerency zones make it too much effort and often chance to find monipulators. Uleguerand is nice, but it's also isolated, and few people go there. There is little draw for adventurers other than monstrosity, and sometimes Uleguerand itself.

Compare this to Bhaflau Thickets. In Bhaflau Thickets, there are many more reasons to visit and many more things to do while waiting for an opponent. As a gladiator in Bhaflau Thickets, you dont need to simply sit and wait for a monipulator. There are many quest targets, ZNM spawn points, and zone lines to other areas such as Halvung, Aydeewa, and Alzadaal. You can also do Magian Trials or farm there, just a very short distance from town. You're never left without anything to do, and your experience never needs to simply be going home empty-handed.

On the other side, monipulators have it just as good. They don't have to just wait around either, and they don't have to get bored doing it. Bhaflau Thickets is just the right size. You won't miss an adventurer there. Not only that, but it's easy to find one. All of these quest spots, zone lines, spawn points and more make easy places for you to camp and patrol, without having to worry as much if someone will ever stop by. Not only that, the narrow corridors and smaller clearings give monipulators plenty to fight while they wait, without having to worry that someone will walk right past them without noticing. And finally, because it is close to town and hard to miss a monipulator in, any adventurer who sees one passing by can have confidence that if they leave to get gladiator status, they'll be able to find their target again particularly if they /say they're interested. This gives monipulators a much larger pool of potential opponents.

Xarcabard has similar problems. There's relatively little reason for adventurers to visit. Even if they do, the chances they'll run into a monipulator there are low, even if there is one.

Compare this to the Boyahda Tree. Like Bhaflau Thickets, there are many reasons for an adventurer to visit the Boyahda Tree. You can visit Ramuh and Fafnir, hunt for treasure, stalk NMs, or complete Magian Trials. Not only this, but with the advent of Waypoint travel, the Boyhada Tree is easy to get to as well. You don't have to stop by just for the small hope of a monipulator, and you don't have to sit around or diligently patrol while waiting. Remember those narrow passages in Bhaflau? They're here too. As a monipulator you can easily make yourself seen, in many different places.

Buburimu again shares similar flaws. The zone is large and open and meeting an opponent without specific planning can be difficult. The more difficult enemies a monipulator could fight while waiting for gladiators are off in these open areas and finding a foe there is difficult. Those valuable narrow paths are generally present only near the outpost, and the enemies there that one might kill time with, are weak.

Compare this to the Pashhow Marshlands. This zone also has open areas, however people passing through it will generally follow the path of the road. Monipulators know where to wait and potential gladiator can pass through easily. Since the roadway covers most of the zone, monipulators have a great deal of freedom of movement and can choose what enemies to fight while waiting, without risking a lost encounter. And, if there's noone to be found a potential gladiator can pass through without having to worry who they might have missed.

So please make this simple change and give Monstrosity the second chance it deserves. Let us breathe life back into this aspect of the game that we all so hoped to enjoy. There's potential here. Let's reach it.

    This is a good idea.
To accompany these changes SE has to also fix (or rather adjust) the infamy / prestige balance. It's a lot better than what it was when the content was brand new, but still...
Also: better rewards from PvP. How about some augmentable rings, necklaces or belts?
Or a way to augment existing gear.
Rajes ring or Black belt.. maybe?

I wouldn't say that it failed or people aren't interest so much as SE has failed to add anything or any interest in it themselves. People constantly ask more about it despite SE not having added anything to it for over a year and not putting enough longevity into it to make it well last. If they had put some real rewards in there and/or continued to add stuff probably would have people still doing it. But the rewards aren't worthwhile so the only thing to do is lvl them... which is fun but you can get them all to 99 fairly quickly. The whole cheer system seems like it should've gone to monstrosity instead and in a way it feels like monster rearing as a whole was foisted upon us instead of getting more monstrosity
