    Cait Sith lv?holy fix

    can we please not have this attack completely miss mobs each time? maybe instead of a miss have at least a small amount of damage done with the AOE like half the amount of a number 1 roll. Its bad enough we have to wait for the BP time and also the high cost of the BP as it is and when using in party situations constant misses on the random numbers makes you pretty much useless while jobs such as blu or blm can spam high damage aoes over and over with no long recasts. addressing this will make summoner useable in party and endgame situations a lot more.

    There are ways to determine the chance of Level ? Holy before hand. For example, it will ALWAYS land on a level 60 enemy. Unfortunately SE doesn't give us a way to know the level of the mobs easily so we could use this information to determine the landing chance of Level ? Holy.

    I did some number crunching using Least Common Denominator and this is the result, assuming every die roll has an equal chance of landing (i.e. the dice aren't weighted):

    * Levels 108, 90, 84, 72, 48, 36, 30, 24, and 12 have 5/6 chance to hit, meaning 83.3% accuracy
    * Level 60 and level 120 has a 100% chance to hit as it is divisible by all rolls.
    * Average accuracy for a group of mobs between levels 60 and 69 is 26/60 or 43.3% and for only the even numbered mobs between 60 and 68 is 18/30 or 60% and odd numbered mobs between 61 and 69 is 8/30 or 26.6%
    * Even Levels (multiple of 2) are much more likely to hit than odd numbers (not divisible by 2) as only 1's and some 3's and 5's will hit them where as all 1's and 2's hit even mobs and any eligible 6 or 4. Basically don't use Level ? Holy on odd level mobs. Always use it on level 60 and 120 mobs, and great candidates are level 108, 90, 84, 72, 48, 36, 30, 24, and 12 mobs.

    So, in other words, even being able to know if the mob's level is even or odd would really help you. Note this doesn't take into effect power of the spell when it does land just landing at all.

    i'm following AtrixWolfie's line of reasoning. The Lv? isn't random - its just hard to predict the utility of the BP when we cannot tell what level the mobs are. In such situations, Lv? holy is only useful for scenarios where you are already aware of what the mob/content levels are or so happen to be fighting some NM whose level doesn't vary at all.
    lol if its any consolation this has a 83% hit rate on Absolute virtue lol...

    it would be nice if they eventually implement actual level display through the /check function. with so many zones having lowbie mobs mixed in with 75+ mobs, if u're a low level roaming around its kinda hard to tell what is "incredibly tough" unless you check elsewhere or know before hand.
