Question on Synergy and HQ synths

I got a quick question about Synergy and HQ results.

1.) Do you have to hit the target element amount exactly to HQ? In other words, can you be off by a few and still HQ by chance?

2.) Anyone know if moon phase has had any noticeable effect on Synergy?

1. you can be off and still HQ.

2. that's the first i've ever heard of it.

One thing that affects HQ rate is how much Restrewn Fewell is recovered during the synth and "cleaned up from the crucible and strewn around" Every time i see a high amount constantly recovered, I always get a 120, 130 resulting in HQ2/3. If possible have one synergist member focusing on that and pressure valve. Helps tremedously.

Another question, what synergy skill points did you put in? I only put 5 into fewell, but not sure where to put the others.
