Perma Pet Idea

Okay something I've been wishing for for quite sometime. I'd love to see Beastmaster get a perma pet. We already have adventure fellows and chocobos right? So why not give Beastmasters the ability to raise a pet that will be their's forever?

First off when I say raise a pet I mean kinda like the chocobo egg quest, except you have to actually take the pet out and level/grind it on appropriate level mobs, like your adventure fellow.

What made me think of this was when I was doing the Bst AF1 quest and the Galka and opo opo cs shows that the opo opo was his pet. He even had a collar for it.

Anyone else think this is a good idea or am I the only one?

I always wondered why they didn't give BSTs a pet through the Pankration system. It seems like a natural connection to make, especially if you've played the Pokemon games. That's just me though maybe.

I never said anything about liking Pokemon, but a ton of people made the connection to Pokemon when they first introduced the Pankration system. You're capturing the image of a monster, naming it, then doing battle with it and leveling it up. It's pretty close already. I just thought if you wanted to, as a BST, having the option of creating a custom jug pet (obviously not a Soulflayer or other non-charmable creature) would be nice.

I got my hopes up when I saw the freelance beastmasters had Giant Birds, Manticore, a raft of worms, etc as perma pets. I still hope that eventually a more permanent pet will be added.
