Rather than doing 10 Tenzen and wasting an hour you just buy the drop.

I'm not quite sure why you play FFXI at all if that's the way you look at it.
Are you justifying just buying everything from mercs, and standing in town looking pretty? Just to 'not waste time'?

If it could take a hundred tries and never drop, then it's more efficient to just go pick it up and earn more money than you would lose wasting the time to not get it. No matter how "easy" it is. You don't gain anything by doing the same battle 10 times praying for a drop. It's bad design.

Remove PBR and make it one stone for all 3, and increase the drop rate, then it's worth doing "multiple times"

If you have gil to waste and thus buy everything- again, what's the point of playing? Everything takes 100 tries to drop, that's just how old school MMOs work.

It would be cool if you could make the Ebisu fishing Rod +1 able to tell you every single fish you are about to catch, this would be like its equivalent of the crafting shield.

I always thought FFXI was long overdue for a barber shop to change features, but there is not much to change because our hair and face styles are scare compared to other mmo. Crazy XI never got any new face and hairstyles.
