Is there some way to trade in the weaker version to get the newer one (if not, there should be)? It feels kind of stupid that it seems I have to throw it away.

can you aquire the NQ af and relic and empy gear without tossing out your upgraded ones? mind you this is a question, I've never actually tried it but if you can't then I'd assume the NQ has same laws as +1 to bad we can't upgrade nto +1 gear if we already own the NQ

You can get the NQs again after you've upgraded them, yes. You can also own both of the mentioned items in my post at the same time. What I'd like to be able to do is turn the item in for a partial credit towards the +1 version.

Currently.... there is no way to +1 the NQ bayld armor.
You can only buy the +1 version straight from the person.

Kinda silly... but at least it's only bayld.
