ffxiv blu?

Probably not the right forum to post this on, but oh well. Anyone have any clue if ffxiv will ever include blu as a class in game in the near future? Only thing keeping me from playing it.

Reason I post this here is because most career blu's that care about the job might actually know. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure Yoshida said in an interview a while back that there were no plans to implement BLU yet (yet being the operable term, I hope).

I'm planning on playing FFXIV eventually anyway, but this would certainly make me more enthusiastic and excited! Blue Mage is my favourite Final Fantasy job. It would be interesting to see what weapons BLU would use in 14, perhaps whips?

Probably at some point they'll add more jobs, but for the immediate future, only arcanist and summoner have been officially announced.

I'm sure that if people asked nicely they would consider it wouldn't they? BLU is a classic job all the way back from FFV, I hope to goodness that since it had such a great amount of game play in XI, they'd reimpliment it into XIV. It'd make quite a few people happy, and add one more option to their list of classes.

Yoshida is aware of all the fan favorites, but he's focusing now on the release of ARR and getting things established before adding new stuff.

He isn't opposed to any ideas, and people have been asking for such classic jobs..but yah, first things first. I'm sure we'll see an incarnation of BLU sometime down the road.
