Dear Dev Team... I've bone to pick with you.

So....

I've noticed that Mumor's back... yet again.

I just wanna know why?
I want to know who was it that thought that Mumor of all things was a good event?
I wanna know why she keeps coming back?

You know what else? I'm appalled that she'd be placed in the same breath with some of the leading ladies of Vana 'diel. On what planet does Mumor hold a light to Lion, Prishe, Aphmau, Lilisette?

The biggest draw to the Heroines' Holdfast is the inevitable promise that we will finally get to beat the living crap out of Mumor. I ask you, is that what you want for the old gal? I mean, she's done...so... much...

....

My dear Dev team... put an end to this nonsense.
Retire Mumor once and for all and give us a real Summerfest event.

Re-using the event ad nauseam is just lazy, especially since it has long since worn out its welcome.

But yeah, I never really saw any appeal to it. That is to say, I can't say it's a good event, but I do still appreciate the effort of those working on it. However, they could do better, I'm sure.

Looking at the Heroines' battlefield, I also feel the order is a 'bit' off. For one, Lion always seemed the most strong to me, though that might be just because she seems the most mature, perhaps? Either way, it would more than likely be a sort of chronological order in that regard. I have to admit, I kind of like the idea of, as you put it, “the inevitable promise that we will finally get to beat the living crap out of Mumor”.

Not that I really have the wants for that!

Again though, I do appreciate it all, but it's definitely not how I would make the event(s) be.

I'm ashamed to say I never got the hang of her event. For some reason I always seem to do much worse at mini-games than whatever game they're contained within. It's probably horribly simple for everyone but me.

I always did wish the mini-games were more of the quality the old FINAL FANTASY titles had (up to IX or so). The ones in XI always feel a bit 'stiff', or something I can't quite put my finger on it.

What comes to the Mumor itself, I always just made a macro for each dance. That's all you really need, with a bit of reaction time to do it soon enough. It's probably the least favourite of mine even though many others require you to run about a lot, but I do what I must for the items cause I have to have them for some reason...

Eh save for post abyssea when a few of the event weapons became actually useful i've never had an interest in the in game events, i have enough storage issues as it is, guess i'm more of a pragmatic/practical use kind of person, i try not to hold onto items of no value/practical use or waste my time in the acquisition there of.

Yeah, I sort of stopped caring when my Mog Safe had less than 20 spaces for anything other than furniture... And I still need more!

(That is to say, stopped caring for the space they take.)
