I spent years hoping for this job -- who else is excited to see what their Relic and Empy gear is going to look like?
I love new jobs. :P Now if only we could get info on what subs they think will be good for them. Haha

If the geo's buffs effect itself then I'm thinking it will end up being a strong sub more than a main, seeing as it gives buffs to magic attack, evasion etc. jobs like sch rdm will benefit from the boosts to the stat they want to specialise in. If not then only ones who'll sub it will probably be smn to stack with their avatars favour to give some nice aura buffs, brd to go well with song buffs and maybe rng and cor or any kiting job for that matter if the gravity aura is effective and sustainable.
I've been waiting for Geomancer since 2002. And now I find out it's a buff/debuff job? I couldn't possibly be a happier taru. Even if it winds up not being super special brokenly awesometastic powerful, I think I'm gonna enjoy taking it to 99~
Me too! I had hoped for Geomancer when ToAU was announced, then again with WoG. I was happy just to see Geomancer-esque storms on SCH!
@Horadrim
I love new jobs too. In fact, they're the only thing I really get excited about with expansions. I also can't stop thinking about what the relic and empyrean gear will look like. I hope it's as detailed as the artifact design, which I assume is what we're seeing now. I like most of it a lot, but I'll have to warm up to the Bed Pan Hat. It's a little comical atm.
I like the concept of the job so far. Buffing and enfeebling have always been my favorite party roles. It looks like Geomancer will be mostly that. Also, some extra nuking thrown in, and I'll never complain about having more secondary activities.
I'm interested to see how the heavy reliance on positioning will play out. Positioning has been important for several jobs in the past but none were as reliant on it as Geomancer seems.

I'm not sure if the images depict the eventual color scheme for relic armor or they're just concept art, but you can click "Equipment Designs..." at the bottom of the job section of the Adoulin page to see a black-for-white version of the Geomancer AF armor. It would make sense as Relic armor since, excluding Ninja who became the dreaded tangerine of stealth, Relic armor is usually a darker color or tone.
Also, the mighty mushroom actually seems sensible on the Tarutaru depicted there because it looks like was made to accommodate the little bro's ears.
Oh crap I missed that! I love the black version there, especially the details on the side of the coat. I agree about the possibility of it being the relic too, considering past artifact > relic evolutions. You're right though, the Bed Pan has become a mushroom ...eek.
Haha, haha. Still looks pretty awesome. I just hope the job is useful and unique... I really hope both avoid becoming generic DD jobs and find a usefulness that doesn't infringe on any other jobs. I might go Rune Fencer just because its the job that seems most unique of the two.
