It's the same reason why SE wont let us stored un-augmented AF2+1's: They dont feel like it.
I just threw mine away as soon as i finished the trial, personally. It's a peice of garbage and it's easily reobtainable, so I saw no reason to hang on to it, especially considering the neck slot isn't visible gear.
