actually there is a very good reason why they would not update the os for the devolopment systems used for FFXI. They have stable machines that are used only for that purpose. no need to invest in making new computers. The developer machines for their other projects are probably using newer OS.

Can you please just release information on how Rune Fencer will operate... It would be nice to get information on a new class that could potentially be awesome or be terrible, unlike Geomancer which will be pretty much just something to do in this game rather then an "ERMAHGERD DAT JOB IS AWESOME!"

Ive been thinking the same thing. Can we just download the NA version?

The client of FFXI is universal for US/EU/JP, only the registry makes the difference in which section of the game is used.
you can turn your NA release in a JP/DE/FR/ release by changing some registry entry, so installing a expansion pack from another region should not be a problem, as they are seperate installers.

Installing is one thing, Having a correct Region Code is another. Codes are still region locked regardless so unless they change that and make it universal EU Players are still in the dark. But only time will tell, Even if it's so slowly running out.

as its starting to get tiring on people that are asking this, can you please (i'll even give you a cookie) shed some light as to what are happening with the pre orders for the EU side. Because it feels like were being kept in the dark about it. Were fearing we'll not see it on release date as we can't see it in any EU store, or on the EU SE site...
