Gulool Ja Ja pop conditions

I have read as many sources as I can to determine what the pop time is for Gulool Ja Ja. Some say 3-5 days, others 3-7 and some say 1 hour after besieged. I have been camping him for 3 days nonstop, have sat through 2 mamool ja besieged and he still has not popped. I can confirm that Medusa has popped at least twice and been killed twice in the same period of time. Something does not seem right about this and I'm wondering if Gulool Ja Ja is bugged.
