Squishytaru's Moghouse of Solitude

This is my moghouse . I have spent countless hours gathering and decorating what you see before your very eyes. Initially the great Star Sybil suggested I begin using my exquisite monk hand-to-hand skills to decorate as a form of skilling up. While it did enhance my taru prowess of slapping evil doers to a pulp. I soon discovered Sibyls hidden agenda. Star Sybil was secretly part of Windursts 47% of leeches. She secretly had book burned up to cap and was just looking for a place to spend her weekends at! Nonetheless it is a wonderful place to rest.

With da Master always bein gone, your main moogle Spike here decided to fix up da joint and turn it into the most happenin pub dis side of the mines kupo! With my buddy Mac workin da bar, the drinks are always flowin and we even gots da best grub money can buy. But don't you fret, we didn't forget da Boss. We left him a nice quiet corner where he can do his work, and I even cleaned up his junk by tossin it in da closet. There's nothing more relaxing than retiring to one's Mog House after a grueling day of adventuring! When I'm feeling sociable; I'll synth up some delicious food and libation to share at a dinner party with friends or regale the group with a heroic song played upon my harpsichord. When it's over, nothing is more soothing than hanging up my armor and wrapping my plush damascene bedsheets around me to fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the crickets of Ronfaure and the bubbling of my aquariums.

A humble Mog House perfect for the adventurer seeking refuge from the sweltering heat outside. The presence of a hammock inspires images of summer, surrounded by bamboo trees on either side and overlooking an ever-flowing water fountain. The ensemble is completed with a humble kitchen featuring tea from across the world, a library and spinet that you can play or play for you, an extensive model collection, a changing area, and a small writing desk.

Open to the public. The main attraction inside are the mannequins dressed in summer wear along with some items I personally love to show to people like the Totem and The Big One. Plants around the room also give it a more natural feeling. And with this collection of mannequins and statues (along with my moogle buddy) I am never alone. Summer may be over this year, but in here it’s not forgotten.

A Pirate's Oasis

Introduction Text:
It gets hot in Windurst, and whether I've been out fishing or rolling dice as a corsair on some high-stakes adventures, I enjoy relaxing in my Mog House. I like water and plants in my home to keep it cooler, so I converted my fisherman's stall into an aquarium. You can also see me gazing into my Celestial Globe while listening to the crickets in their cage. This also helps me write out my battle strategies (which I keep on the floor) and sometimes you may catch me at a moment of inspiration. But more likely, the break from the heat will be so relaxing that you'll just find me dozing off, dreaming of making it rich on the high seas...

It's hot. The annoying Tarutaru on the weather linkshell keeps blabbering on about hot air masses from Kolshushu moving in and for some reason hearing him talk about how the heat wave has made it more difficult for mages to cast effective water-elemental magic just makes it seem ten times hotter. The Star Sibyl has enacted a mandate for enhanced water conservation efforts because the Federation's water transmogrification facilities just can't keep up. You arrive home. It feels like walking into Ifrit's Cauldron. With the Star Sibyl's mandate, the residential authority has shut down all magical air-condtioning units to conserve precious water and your Mithran roommate with questionable fashion sense is cooking Green Curry again. The heat from the stove is absolutely stifling. Come to think of it, you're not even sure where she sleeps. She doesn't have a bed of her own and she doesn't share yours. To be perfectly honest, you're not sure when you last saw her move ...

Your spinet begins to play a familiar tune. You know you've heard it before, but you can't quite put a finger on it. It's always somewhat bothered you that it plays music - polyphonic music at that - on its own accord, but not as much as wondering how your roommate manages to cook so much curry without moving has unsettled you. You decide to change outfits. As you do so, your resident moogle decides to start spinning incessantly. You hate it when he does that. Every time you change clothes - spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin. You think to yourself, "What if he throws up on my fully upgraded Empyrean Armor?" and you decide that just in case this might happen you'll leave it with the much calmer moogle in Port Windurst who offered you a storage service next time.

For some reason this line of thought reminds you that your fish need feeding. You rummage through your cupboards and realize that you're completely out of magical fish food. It's far too hot to walk to the Fisherman's Guild to get fish food and you start to contemplate whether or not fish will eat crickets or glowflies. You decide that you like having the crickets around and you don't want to run the risk of having glowing fish, so the fish will just have to wait until tomorrow. You sit down and have dinner, after which you work on cataloging your shell collection, and then you drag yourself to bed. It's too hot to sleep but you turn off your flouro-flora and lie there restlessly. At least the incense from the burner you got on your vacation to the Near East is somewhat relaxing.

Your roommate still hasn't moved and that moogle is still spinning. Ugh.
