What elemental katana would be a better build while working on Kannagi plus I have Komome?

I'd go the fire path as well, but if you're not willing to commit to the 55 flame geodes at the end, WS damage is a decent path as well, but really you'd be fine without making either if you're making a Kannagi. The WS damage path is boring and tedious.

At least with the fire trial Katana you'd have a good off-hand once you complete your Kannagi.

+1 to the fire. If not, Kamome is an excellent offhand. I personally like the Ban in offhand, but that's just the THF in me.

If having access to the optimal weapons is what you're looking for, in Abyssea you want to always offhand Kamome, outside you want a fire magian and a thunder magian to switch between for your offhand depending on ACC requirements.

I think fire is the one seen as the most valuable, but it's also the most expensive. I was able to build a full Lightning Katana in less then a week, and for a relatively cheap price as something to tide me over. Lightning is the DEX + ACCURACY bonus. I'm now working on the Fire Elemental, but feel less rushed and am just doing it as I have time along with Kannagi.
