"Clandestine" Meeble Burrow Goals - Not Working

The following maze goals are not working as the help text indicates:

Assistant Expedition 2 / Goal 3: "Clandestinely" arrive at goal with XX party members.
I trained literally every bat in the area to the goal and I still was flagged as completing goal 3. I even killed one of the bats before hitting the goal and it did not make a difference. I assume clandestinely is meant to imply avoiding aggro, so this isn't working.

Adjunct Expedition 3 / Goal 3: Clandestinely examine 2 ??? without getting caught.
Examining 2 ??? will only complete goal 1 whether you are caught (which I assume means aggroed) or not. Examining a 3rd ??? will complete goal 2 whether you are caught or not. Examining all four ??? will complete goal 3, again, whether you are caught or not, even though the help message says goal 3 is to hit just two of the ??? without getting caught.

Unrelated note, it's "pheromones," not "pheremones."
