Abusive and intimidating posters

I would like to ask what is being done about the level of abuse and aggression on this forum from specific players.

I have reported the same players so many times, as am now too intimidated to continue posting here, due to them calling me a "retard" and asking if im mentally ill. I find it very upsetting that that kind of behaviour is not dealt with, and yet I mentioned the word "windower" once and got suspended.

Since my incident, I have stopped discussing it, and learned my lesson, but still continually see the same few players being extremely abusive and in some cases threatening towards myself and others. I don't think I have ever seen an official forum this open to such behaviour.

I received threats simply because I use a different colour when posting, but it seems that threats on my life and threats of violence are not as dangerous as discussing a visual basic tool.

I would also like to know who I contact to register a formal complaint about this.

You haven't received threats on your life, in the official forums.
If you have, those posts have been deleted and the users have been banned.

Mentioning or supporting 3rd party usage is qualifications for a ban in the ToS.
This post will get you banned again for talking about it.

Using the separate color is viewed as annoying to most people, either conform to the norm or face ridicule.

And poster aggression is different from poster abuse.
I really suggest you reread your ToS.

This post wasted 8 seconds of my life. I swear some of you people would post a video of you burping if you thought that too was hilarious.

That isn't abuse. That is very light satire at the already heavily sarcastic and satirical OP's post. Also the thread in which I mentioned Windower was already about the software and I said it should be integrated into the standard game, I wasn't promoting it's use, I was actually trying to encourage SE to put it's functions ingame.

This is the feedback section of the forums, specifically asking why abusive behaviour has not been dealt with correctly. I can see in 4 of my recent posts someone has called me a retard, mentally ill as well as to others, and their posts remain un edited, and the players continue to post.

What is your concern with here that you want me to delete this thread so badly? I have mentioned no specific names, only pointed out behaviour that is not being actioned. I was very hesitant to even post it here as would prefer a direct contact email for subjects of this nature, but as there is not one, I am left with only the option to post it here.

Parents typically ignore these sort of complaints from children. I don't really see how telling the forum mods that they aren't doing their job is going to help your situation. I tend to agree with their frequent response of "You don't have to read / respond to every post / thread." Once you have shared your opinion, you are not obligated to defend it and do so at your own peril. I am fairly certain that I know which posters you are referring too (and am likely on that list) and I find it very hard to believe that you have ever felt any tangible fear whatsoever. This post appears to be an attempt to get people you don't like in trouble and should probably be deleted as it is grossly inappropriate.

TLDR; Call customer support and handle your personal business in private. Airing out your laundry on the interwebz is asking for trouble.

I find the use of the word "retard" to be incredibly over zealous and when directed at me multiple times by the same group of posters, and continue to see them doing the same to others, I see a problem. I can take as much abuse as the next guy, but when it comes to the point where I don't bother posting as I already know the same group of posters will shout it down in seconds, that shows the environment is no longer fun and constructive, instead it is hostile and abusive. While I don't suffer with mental illness myself, im sure others do, and seeing it thrown about like a towel in a tumble dryer would surely upset them as much as it bothers me.

There are many posters that im sure would agree it would be a much nicer place without those scummy elements, and im not trying to say the sun shines out of my rear, as I can be a snarky one at times too, but I am at least always respectful, and avoid abusive language.

Also fyi, you aren't one of the 5 I was referring to, but your name does crop up from time to time as someone who I think could do with a little slice of humble pie.

This is not yours, or anyone elses stomping ground. It is a last line of feedback before the developers, to allow everyones voices to be heard. You do not have any right to shout others down, but you can respectfully and constructively disagree. You do not get to call people vile names as a result of that though.
