    Nvidia GPU not accepting FFXI?

I downloaded/installed FFXI through steam, and unfortunately I can only play FFXI with my Nvidia GPU disabled.

No matter what I would do, the Playonline viewer would just stop working if I had my GPU enabled.

Any one else having this issue? Thanks.

known issue with the intel/nvidia mashups in laptops. nVidia is aware of the issue and was working on a fix about a year or so ago, was supposed to have beta and final drivers out for the 400 series mobile GPU's already, idk how reliable they were though. There were several threads about it on the nVidia forums, may have better luck getting help there as it is a driver issue.

more likely would need to actually downgrade the drivers for FFXI. For years now, the latest/greatest has posed problems for it. Still running on a card from 2008 with drivers from 2009 on my rig.
