Announcing the "FINAL FANTASY XI: 10th Anniversary Concert"!

As you may have seen on the official FINAL FANTASY XI site, we just announced the FINAL FANTASY XI: 10th Anniversary Concert! Let me share a bit of the announcement here:

As we continue celebrating 10 years of FINAL FANTASY XI, we're proud to announce the FINAL FANTASY XI: 10th Anniversary Concert to be held at the beautiful Zellerbach Auditorium in Berkeley, California on September 22, 2012! The special event will feature over 70 musicians drawn from the area's leading orchestras, and be led by conductor Arnie Roth. Attending the event will also be special guests Naoshi Mizuta and Kumi Tanioka who will both be on hand for VIP meet & greet sessions, as well as maybe a few special surprises!

This is cool. I just wish there was some more east coast action. Distant Worlds FINALLY made it to Boston in March, and I went to see that (amazing of course).

Bayohne, will SE be releasing a DVD copy of this event as well just like for Vanacon?

I would love to go to this event, but as it is on the opposite side of the country it's going to be a bit more expensive than 50-85 dollars for me if I were to attend :\

I would love to be able to purchase the DVD copy to watch at home as well as get the item code just like the Japan DVD release, and would like to know if that is being planned for us or not. If you could do some detective work and find out for us that would be awesome.

I go to pretty much every video game related symphony that comes to the bay area, but never thought it was worth it to buy VIP.. I always said to myself (hopeful, but thinking it would never happen), "If they ever had a FFXI concert, that would be the time I spring for the highest price tickets."

VIP tickets have been bought and I have absolutely no regrets Can't wait!! My boyfriend is already sick of hearing me talk about it, haha.. /excited.

If E3 and PAX hadn't already claimed my wallet I would so be there. Would love to get my W/F Vinyl signed. Oh well... I'll just replay the Vanacon DVD a few times.

I really want to go, but I am broke at the moment, and I don't know how I would get there. If I took a train, it would arrive just 50 minutes before the concert started, and it would cost me the same price as a Mezzanine ticket.

Soooo.... I know this isn't really the right place to ask, but does anyone live in So-Cal around the LA area that I could possibly carpool with? I'm sociable, clean, and I am willing to pay for more than half of the gas money.
