how do you add another character onto a test server client?
but keep the current one and have both to test on

You copy that character from the primary server like you did for your main... unless you mean "create" a character on the test server, which you cannot at this time.

You can only copy one character per SE account as far as I know.

As Kysaiana mentioned, you may indeed only use one character: the one you chose during the application.
You may re-copy it, as long as you delete the character first. Peculiarly, at one place, it is stated that one should not delete a character from the test server, but on the other page it says this is what you should do, if you want to re-copy your character over. I'm assuming it is to ask you not to create completely new characters for some reason (which is possible, and helpful even, so I don't quite understand).

thanks y'all guess i'm stuck with my mithra character was hoping to change my character to my elvaan one but oh well i guess it'll be ok thanks anyways
