I have spent much time and care into this game and met some amazing people some who have changed my life (i met my wife through this game over 6 years ago and been married 5) but i must say goodbye to my fellow players.

This decision came from lack of story line left to enjoy which was very enjoyable to my wife and me but also how the game has changed into such a generic grinding MMORPG that i cannot enjoy it anymore. Some may say they are glad i'm leaving for feeling that way but when i see others the same level as me with gear that puts mine to shame deal less damage by almost half my wanting to play almost vanishes.

The lack of decent updates for most jobs leaving back in the past makes the game unbalanced.

I thank square enix for a wonderful 8 years of time playing this game and wish you all the best with the game. I hope things pick up in FF:XI for those who still enjoy it and that it still see's many years more in its future.

how is it possible that someone with the same job & same level but better gear can deal less damage?

Player skill level has gotten so bad that people don't know they have to keep their combat skills at max?

It is pretty sad when a lv. 95 PLD has Fast Blade only, but that is what you get for allowing level 30 players into Abyssea :/ Should have mandated that only 75+ could go in those areas.
