Meteor is technically non-elemental, truth be told I'm not surprised they never added a non-elemental spell in this game.

The spell before this game was always non-elemental, this isn't the only FF game that's ever existed. Jeez!!!

PS. I'm also sure it was tested and the spell when cast by enemies was Dark based, especially Absolute Virtue. Lets not pretend SE doesn't change spells to suit themselves.

You are the one talking crap. There is no relation between FFX and FFY so yeah... it's dumb assumption knowing that no spell in FFXI is known to be non elemental.

Dan you just need to stop. Flare used to be considered non-elemental damage in previous games as well, but what do you know, it fire in this one. As for what you posted above Markov, it shows that spell is not finished at the moment. SE could very well decided to make it darkness at the last minute. I'm not saying it will, but it's possible.
