do we really need lv.99 without New Areas ??

c'mon..
now you can do everytihing with 1 party,
if the game remains the same, at 99 what you will do? "solo" the entire server?
in about a week, everyone will have 99 with every job, so then...?

if SE will not introduce New Areas (designed for lv.99), the new raise cap will be useless..

I wanna know the result of the survey about the system used to login... they finally decided to drop PS2 support and give us the "Grand Finale" of the game with some New Continent ?

do you really think we will see new areas?

but if SE drop ps2 support, it can be possible... do you think we will see some new areas for the 99 ?

if SE drops ps2 support, there's a lot that can be done with the game

if not, then it'll probably die off.

Blame SE for using it as a scapegoat for years then? The horses mouth states numerous times that the PS2 is why X, Y or Z can't be done.

Such as? The only things I recall ever hearing SE attribute to PS2 limitations is the inability to expand the autotranslator and the inability to expand storage spaces beyond 80. The playerbase, on the other hand, is happy to blame everything they dislike on PS2 limitations. It makes a great scapegoat, because then you can just believe there is a simple solution to all your woes. It's a lot like people who believe the unemployment problem in America would be solved overnight if you just deported all the illegal immigrants.

Blaming the PS2 limitations aside, everything that's been added thus far has been battle content. Easier and faster leveling, gear with large number stats, weapons on major emphasis on damage deal (see damage + aftermath on all emp weapons, even staff and club). Abyssea supped us up to justify voidwatch and woe, where you STILL get your ass handed to you a the slightest mistake, and adjustments to older end game content like Dynamis. Ever fought Arch DL? He's a fricken beast.

Even going so far to see SE hiring battle planners. But a lot of this stuff is pretty pointless. By the time you complete the new battle oriented content and gain the spoils to show off, you've most likely already completed 90% of every thing else that use to matter to actually put it to use. Only thing that could really save FFXI is a new expansion and/or emphasis on PvP oriented goals. True PvP colosseum, can I have it?
