Adoulin is installed but still not lighting up on your title screen? Here's what to do:
Go to https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/login?cont=account and log in, then Select Service >>> PlayOnline / FINAL FANTASY XI >>> Add a service account (blue button) >>> input expansion software registration code.
If by Hewlett-Packard, you mean Xerox, then yes.
Also, this has absolutely no relevance to FFXI because FFXI doesn't run under Mac OS in a supported configuration.
Responsible how? What did he actually do?
A man died, a man like everyone else. Only he was a scam and a fraud, and horribly annoying to boot. Actually... that is like almost everyone else. My condolences to his friends and family. To the people who think he was special: get over it.

He has been their marketer for years, he has not innovated anything in that time.
People are crying over the death of a CEO who made more money in a year than they will in a lifetime.
Excuse me for having zero pity for him.
Thank you for changing Crysta payment options :3

As for how Steve Jobs has relevance to our ability to play FFXI, in short: Without Steve Jobs, the Apple II would never have taken off - would never have been made, most likely. Without the Apple II, the Personal Computer would not have become A Thing.
Additionally, while Jobs was indeed very rich, I think it's worth pointing out that most of that value was through shares of Apple stock and Disney stock - and he got the Disney stock as part of Disney's acquisition of Pixar.
Steve was certainly not a perfect person, but it's undeniable that he changed the world, and I think at least this thread ought to be one of remembrance, of respect.

Spoiler!
Like every good internet argument, this post features a Hitler reference. If you can see it coming, you get 5 imaginary points.
Old Bill and his public image. He prolly wrote that entry from his skull shaped volcano lair.
Outrageous lie. The PC was unavoidable from the moment Alan Turing theorized his ideas of computation. Nothing that Jobs did or didn't do would have changed that, or even put a dent in the technology. And even without Turing it was just a matter of time. Computers are a natural part of evolution. It was the next step from where we were before. We're where we are because this is how it had to be. Not even five more world wars and an ice age would have stopped computers, let alone old Stevie.
And let's assume for just a second, that Jobs was in some way necessary for computers to have emerged, it doesn't mean that he's responsible or that it's even his doing. It's coincidental relevance, not an achievement. It's like saying that without Hitler humans wouldn't have gone into space, because he shaped the world like he did and made people work on certain sciences that were for military application at first, but eventually, allowed space shuttles to be built.
This thread ought not to exist in the first place. This forum is for and about FFXI, and even if by your logic Jobs is responsible for it, he is still not a part of it and shouldn't be discussed here. You don't see me making a thread to hail Leonhard Euler (who, by the way, deserves it a lot more than Jobs ever could).
