If it werea, it would be very, VERY poor programming (not to mention very resource intensive to your computer even using, interrupts to check.). For example, let's say you have a way of changing your job outside the game's normal control. If you equip whm only gear and then change your job to war, without a sanity check for input (which game does have) your gear stays on. It doesn't matter to the game what gear/missions/quests/etc you have unless the program check for it as it is just a flag or bit values to it. People already said that they wouldn't mind re-doing the quests that are gender/race/etc specific. As long as the understanding is there (like how we are warned that we can lose signatures on AH'ing items.), there should be no problem. And if people don't read and miss that, well, that's too bad on them.
What would the other 400k want? They want a model change in some way, shape or form. Even if it's just a hair change. You know, something fun. You talk as if it's a zero-sum game. Either they not do this or we NEVAR GET JOB ABILITIES AGAIN!!! If that was the case, the following wouldn't have happened:
Battle system adjustments vs new limit breaks.
New Job Abilities Vs. New Items.
Expansion Vs. Existing Item Icon changes.
etc,etc,etc.
The point of the of a suggestion thread is to suggest ideas. We won't be upset if it doesn't happen. You throw suggestions at it and see what sticks. That's why it's called a suggestion, not a mandate. If we all only suggested what they already was going to do/decided they want to do, then there's no point in a suggestion thread. (ala Joseph Heller's Catch 22) There's already a few things that's happened that we didn't think they were able to do and, conversely, a few things they can't do that we thought was possible. Let's do what we're suppose to do in the creative process. Throw suggestions out and see what sticks.
