new job trait or equipment piece to augment TA

    Hello,

a job trait or an equipment piece ,which augments trick attack, would be nice that transfers additional 50% of the thfs enmity to the trick attacked person.

this would stop the annoying mob flip all the time when tank & thf are at capped enmity.
another pro to this is that thfs can use sneak attack again (for th procs and ws dmg boost).

Trick attack doesn't give target a thief's enmity. The move generates hate based on the amount if damage and tricks the mob into thinking the target in-between mob and thief did it. This means targets have additional enmity as if the did the move, while thief has whatever level he had before the move or the "same".

For those who still don't get it... Let's say a thief has 50 enmity(made up number) and do a trick attack of 60enmity(made up)...the tank doesn't end up with 110enimity, just his own enmity of X plus 60 from trick attack.

That being said,a job trait which increases the enmity gain from trick attack would be nice. As the melee damage outputs increases, and the "provoking" quality of paladins and ninjas decrease...something needs to be adjusted. An something which is party minded, not individual damage is always a plus in my book.
Then again there is such a thing as enmity caps so...

I actually would not mind a piece of armor that transfers a portion of the THF's enmity to the trick-attack-ee.

This way, Its not a permanent effect like a job trait, Which could be a nerf to the Low-man THF who might want to say, Trick Attack a mage to increase TH...

I think a more reasonable enmity would be ~20%/25%. If we're not looking for reasonable 50% would be an amazing number. It would be situational, but useful for its situational purposes.

    everyone knows how TA works.
covenant u obviously don't understand my post >.>
so i'll explain it for ya. augments means that another effect will be added to the JA.
so a equipment piece which augments trick attack would be nice, if the augmented effect results in x% of thfs enmity is transfered to person who was TA'd.

I'm not trying to troll. This idea is kinda weird thematically as is the one suggested by another poster, which I'll call the (enmity sucker upper/AoE party members). It's creating some weird mystical ability of gear to transfer enimty. Call it energy manipulation.
I was just restating how trick attack works, because "your enimity" isn't transferred. You generate a lot of damage and the mob only sees the tank not the thief behind him. Trick attack is based on an actual physical positioning, where the gear or item your suggestion is based on magic and energy manipulation, which is why scholars have this spell.

I made my suggestion based on adding to Trick attack overall enmity gain. But even that suggestion doesn't make sense to me. Enmity gear exists whether subtracting or adding it, so theorically increasing enmity gain is there. However, moving enmity that is established doesn't make sense. It's be easier to lose enmity through hide anyway.

lol @ enmity sucker upper... what do you think collaborator and accomplice do hmm? same thing just not aoe. a piece of gear that transfers some enmity is no more "weird" than clunky armor that somehow increases your evasion. fact is thf needs something to transfer their enmity to others better, as well as something to get enmity better. i would even propose a piece of gear that does the opposite for SA and granting you more enmity, then you could transfer hate to and from even better. also hide is only useful on a handful of mobs and not one of them worthwhile. this idea is good and would help us do our job better. being anal retentive about the schematics how a piece of gear can make the mob "less mad at you" is redundant.

accomplice & collaborator can move established enmity :x

but still thf needs a JA or piece of gear which augments TA and it transfers x%'s of thf's actual hate to the TA'd person.
that's not more weird as standing yalms away from a pt member and getting hate of them by a mystical JA a.k.a. collaborator / accomplice.
