    Extending time not working right

Ive been noticing a glitch a lot lately when i return to the Conflux Surveyor
    to extend my time.

Current time in zone 31 mins
Extend time 30 mins using 1 stone?
    Current time in zone 33mins.

this has been happening often and the only ingame fix is tozone out
completely and reset time to 120 by using stones.

Any chance this can be fixed soon?

this problem is present on both PS2 and PC.

That is how it is designed to function, as stated on the initial release notes for the first Abyssea add-on on 6/22/2010...120 minute cap on initial time--you can only extend time with stones to set up to your first 120 minutes in abyssea. If you use a stone after you've opbtained 118 minutes, that stone will only give you 2 minutes. It's explained in all the guides. Here's a pretty thorough one on abyssea:

    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Abyssea

    From the section regarding time:
    http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Ab..._Visitant_Time

■If you leave an Abyssea area with more than 120 minutes of Visitant time accrued, the excess time over 120 minutes is essentially lost, as it is not possible to reobtain Visitant status with a starting value of more than 120 minutes.
■The game makes a record of the total of how much Visitant time you have started an Abyssea run with, plus how much time you have received from time extension chests on your current visit. If this total is less than 120 minutes, you will be able to return to the Conflux Surveyor and extend your current Visitant status by exchanging more Traverser Stones.
■Warning: Any time granted by additional stones is added to the above total, which still may not exceed the initial starting value of 120 minutes. If adding a stone exceeds the 120 minute limit, any "overflow" time is lost. (Example: You start an Abyssea run with 80 minutes of Visitant time, get three 10-minute time extension chests which increases the total to 110 minutes, and decide to exchange another stone -- this stone will only grant you 10 minutes of Visitant time, regardless of how much time you had remaining.)
Basically, when adding your time at the NPC it will tell you how much time you have obtained for your visit right before your final confirmation and applying it. It won't allow you spend any more stones than what it takes for you to hit that cap, so when you hit your initial 120 you won't be able to spend a stone, but you can still use one up through 119 minutes of obtained time (this would only give you 1 minute though). It is cumulatave visitant status set, not used. This includes time that was saved from your last session, time from stones, and time from TE. So, it is best to set your time as close to the 120 minutes cap without going over it when you first enter. That way you know if you spend any stones during that stay, you will only get partial credit so you know to zone and reset it if you are running out.

Thank you Cyrusskorrey for your report!

What you have described in your report has been determined to be not a bug, as also described in detail by RAIST. I can understand how the situation would be confusing though! This has been reported to the developers as well, so if any changes or updates are made to make this less confusing for others, they will be announced here on the forums and/or on www.PlayOnline.com.

Thanks again RAIST for your input and helping out others ^_^
