    Changes to Resistance Battles

    Monsters that attack the martello core are too powerful.

    NPCs protecting the core are too weak(most get 2-shotted).

    Mage NPCs will cast a -ga spell making all the monsters attack them. The mages are standing next to the core so when the monsters AoE, they end up destroying the core in the process resulting in most fights lasting a whole 5-10 seconds. Can't even kill one monster at that rate.(this is if the martello core starts out with like 1hp).

    No "tank" NPCs protecting the core which doesn't make sense...you want to do everything possible to protect it....give us an NPC tank. For example, if the core has 100% hp, don't give us a tank but when it gets to like 10%, give us 1 or 2.

    Increase rewards for the battle, i.e.:
    Temp Items
    +1 Seals(head, legs, feet)
    NM spawn items
    synth items

    Extremely rare rewards could be:
    +2 items(random which drops)
    Key item for NM spawns(depending on zone)
    Empy weapon upgrade item(only 1)

    Also give us visitant status as a reward depending on how many monsters were killed...

    3 monsters = 5 mins
    6 = 10 mins
    9 = 15 mins

    If we get visitant status time as a reward, i think more people would participate resulting in more wins and ops credit. Reason why i say ops credit is because it's hard for someone new to the Abyssea story to build ops credits to buy their gear and since the monsters win within 7 seconds every battle because no players are participating equals lose every time or could get lucky and get like 200 credits because you killed 1 monster.

    Have to do the resistance ops to increase the offensive/defensive capabilites of the martello, clone wards, and NPC's.

    some are really simple...just run to a nearby trap and fill it with fluid. Some need you to run to a box and fill up a sack then bring it back. Here's a page with general info for an overview of what each category of ops does, with links detailing how to do to the individual ops for each category for each zone:

    Edit:
    Oh, and a while back they tweaked the ops to give you a shot at +1 seals in addition to the cruor and Resistance Credits.

    It's nto the fact that the mobs are too stronge, it's that the NPCs are very poorly placed. Specifically the mages. All of the bastion mobs have some variety of AOE attack. The mages nuke with AOEs, drawing all of the mobs on top of the mages who are in turn adjacent to the martello. Leading to faster loses. Is how I go about bastion is with blm. Use a fanatic's drink and then just go AOE happy. Keep in mind that fame in the area reduces the cost of items purchaced with resistance credits.
