I've considered this idea of a relic automaton for a long time... here's what I came up with... (still needs refinement)
Legendary Automaton
After endless months of research, Ghatsad believes he can perfect a new automaton harnessing a tiny fragment of Alexander's great power. By siphoning off some of Alexander's strength, he hopes to keep Alexander from ever fully awakening again. However, he requires information from the ancient civilization of Olduum to complete the project.
Quest for the frame requires:
* Level 75
* "Whisper of Radiance" (the whisper is lost)
* Some other material
Quest for the head requires:
* Level 75
* Ancient Olduum Automaton Head (new item)
* The data from a completed Floor 100 Runic Disc (you keep the disc) and 1 jp midnight.
* Using a runic disc with less floors increases the wait in Japan midnights:
1-50 7 midnights
50-60 6 midnights
60-70 5 midnights
70-80 4 midnights
80-90 3 midnights
90-99 2 midnights
I would suggest that this head/frame combination be unique among automatons in not allowing mix and matching.
Head: Judge
Attempts to stay in melee range. It is capable of identifying and targeting the enemy's weakness by changing the melee damage type of the frame. In addition, attacks occasionally ignore defense entirely.
Fire 2, Wind 2, Thunder 2, Light 2
Ice 1, Earth 1, Water 1, Dark 1
Frame: Colossus A-100
This frame converts the immense power of Alexander into energy weapons of various forms. It was built with incredibly durable materials that can withstand the incredible forces within. Attachments that focus on defense such as the Shock Absorber and Reactive Shield find their potency greatly increased. In addition, it can occasionally activate "Astral Shield" to protect itself and its master from one powerful Area of Effect attack or spell (similar to how Valoredge uses shield bash, but faster.)
Fire 4, Wind 3, Thunder 5, Light 5
Ice 1, Earth 4, Water 1, Dark 1
Damage type: Blunt (holy elemental magic damage instead?)
Skill Ranks:
Melee: A-
Ranged: B
Magic: B
Weaponskills:
* Divine Spear: Light elemental damage, conal AoE. Reduces enemy attack power.
Trigger: Earth Maneuver
Skillchain property: Fusion
* Divine Judgement: Light elemental damage, 3-hit small AoE around target.
Trigger: Light Maneuver
Skillchain property: Continues light.
Relic Attachment
Hydra Core (Dark size 1)
Ignore a percentage of resistances to damage types. Additonal maneuvers increase the percentage ignored.
Acts like one dark maneuver is always active for other attachments, but not for weaponskill priority.
* Unlocks "Transmit" ability: Oblivion Smash (AoE physical damage + stun)
Mythic Attachment
Olduum Core (Thunder size 1)
Reduces cooldown on all automaton ability timers.
Acts like one thunder maneuver is always active for other attachments, but not for weaponskill priority.
* Examples of Automaton ability timers are stoneskin from the shock absorber and shield bash.
* Unlocks "Transmit" ability: Omega Beam (similar to Alexander's Divine Judgment)
Empyrean Attachment
Twilight Core (Light size 1)
Increases resistance to status ailments. Additional maneuvers increase elemental resistance.
Acts like one light maneuver is always active for other attachments, but not for weaponskill priority.
* Unlocks "Transmit" ability: Nova (AoE non-elemental magical damage around automaton)
