Eh, I was confuddled after my first pass on the bit as well, and I usually catch typographical issues pretty often (English isn't my native language, and as such(?), I tend to not skip words while reading text written in English... not that that necessarily means anything).

I am not sure what you mean by "bonus ponus", but I have had this cheer effect active on my main character (Elvaan), and each of my four mules, Mithra, Male Tarutaru, Male Hume, and Galka, and it works perfectly fine on all of them. -
