Anything pre-made and store-bought can run FFXI atmax settings. I bought a $500 laptop earlier this year for college and it's built with a GeForce graphics card equivalent to a 7900 or so.

Considering FFXI can run at max settings at a smooth framerate on any ordinary store-bought PC or laptop these days for the past several years, I'd say moving to the PC version is more than possible....

I successfully signed up. Just in time too. The status changed from "plenty of space" to "a little space" left.

I don't get that option. I get a message saying none of my characters are eligible.

Here's a crazy idea.

How about combining the two? You complete a quest that covers your whole armor set, ending in a Boss fight, and then you get to select from a list of options what you'd like...

They announced a while ago that they had plans to adjust various weaponskills. Just be patient on that.

I just want some more magic options. I feel as though our melee options are already adequate...

Our job is especially revolved around us casting elemental magic. :3

I picked DRK so I can deal high melee damage and be able to throw out spells when I needed to in order to help me and my team.

Too bad the magic side of the job wasn't what I expected. :c
